After conducting research we discovered that around 97% of people struggle to apply false lashes on their first attempts. With this figure being so high, we wanted to help show how easy it can be if you follow a step by step guide. Now don't worry, we will skip all the nitty gritty and get straight to the points - with pictures of course!
1. Apply Mascara
We usually recommend to apply mascara to begin with. Now if you need help with this here is a YouTube video I found to help you apply mascara like a pro.
We apply mascara to blend in the false lashes with the natural lashes. This will create a seamless transition for your flawless look.
2. Choose your lash style
Now, this step is likely the most important. We need to find a lash style that fits you as a person. If you already have a lash style then you can move to the next step. If not we can help. In our demonstration we are using our Jasmine Lashes If you are struggling to pick you can use our free Lash Quiz to find the best style for you.
3. Measure lash to eye
Next, we want to measure the lash to the eye. This helps us decide the length we want and we also have the option to go for the half lash look if we wish. Once you have measured the lash to the eye by placing the lash against your eye ensuring it will fit - move on to the next step.
4. Trim the lash
Take a pair of scissors and trim the lash to be the desired length. This can be just enough to ensure the lash fits the eye or even shorter for a half lash look.
5. Roll Lash into a 'U' shape
Now we cant roll the lash into a 'U' shape. This is a simple bend to help prevent the lash from bending back whilst we apply it. It will shape it to our eye and allow for easier application.
6. Apply Glue
First of all, it's not as scary as it looks. In this demo we will be using the DUO Lash Glue. We highly recommend this false lash glue and we aren't even sponsored, so you can definitely take our word for it!
Gently apply a thin layer of the glue to the lash band ensuring not too much and not too little. You will get the hang of this the more you repeat this process.
7. Place Lash on natural lash line
Now we can gently place the last on top of our natural lash line in the position we want.
8. Secure In Place
Hold the false lash in place for a few seconds whilst the lash attaches to your natural lash line. You can also make adjustments if required to ensure it looks how you want.
9. Love the look
Now its time to smile and enjoy your new look! We bet you look gorgeous.
We hope you found this false lash application guide useful and be sure to share it to others if you think it may help them! Until next time.. Slay queen.
